Privacy Policies
AO Locatif's Privacy Policy provides its users with a secure web environment. AO Locatif conducts its activities in accordance with the Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (CQLR, c. P-39.1), hereinafter the "Act."Within this framework, AO Locatif is committed to maintaining high standards of confidentiality with respect to the personal information provided by its clients, suppliers, partners, and other individuals in the course of its activities, including through its website, social media, advertising, customer relationship management systems, and electronic document management systems, in accordance with the obligations set out in the Act.
What is meant by "personal information"?
"Personal information" means any information relating to a natural person that allows that person to be identified, directly or indirectly. Such information may be in written, visual, video, or audio form. In the course of its activities, AO Locatif may collect personal information such as name, address, contact details, identification information, financial information, and any other information necessary for the provision of its services. The following protection principles apply to the collection, use, disclosure, retention, and destruction of personal information provided by users when using the website or the services of AO Locatif.
1. Accountability
AO Locatif is responsible for the protection of the personal information it holds in the course of its activities. To this end, AO Locatif has adopted privacy practices and internal procedures governing the management of personal information. These measures are intended to govern the collection, use, disclosure, retention, and destruction of such information.
2. Collection of Personal Information
AO Locatif collects only the personal information necessary for the purposes determined at the time of collection. Before disclosing personal information outside Québec, AO Locatif assesses, among other things, the sensitivity of the information, the purposes of its use, and the protection measures applicable in the location where it would be disclosed. 4. Retention and Destruction of Personal Information
AO Locatif retains personal information only for the time necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, subject to the retention periods required by law or applicable to its activities. When personal information is no longer necessary, AO Locatif destroys it securely or anonymizes it, where permitted and appropriate.
5. Data Security
AO Locatif implements reasonable security measures to protect personal information against unauthorized access, use, disclosure, loss, or destruction. The personal information collected may be stored on servers or in electronic systems using recognized protection mechanisms. These measures are intended to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and security of the personal information provided to AO Locatif. AO Locatif has put in place practices to prevent, detect, and manage confidentiality incidents in accordance with applicable requirements.

A. AO Locatif, its staff, collaborators, and representatives, as applicable:

Adopt good data protection practices;
Implement the necessary security measures;
Comply with applicable policies and procedures.
B. Person in charge of the protection of personal information:
Oversees compliance with personal information protection practices and obligations;
Responds to requests for access, rectification, or withdrawal;
Manages confidentiality incidents;
Ensures the follow-up of complaints relating to the processing of personal information.

Adopt good data protection practices;
Implement the necessary security measures;
Comply with applicable policies and procedures.
B. Person in charge of the protection of personal information:
Oversees compliance with personal information protection practices and obligations;
Responds to requests for access, rectification, or withdrawal;
Manages confidentiality incidents;
Ensures the follow-up of complaints relating to the processing of personal information.
7. Rights of Access, Withdrawal, and Rectification
Any person, or their authorized representative, has the right to request access to the personal information concerning them held by AO Locatif. They may also request the rectification of personal information that is inaccurate, incomplete, or ambiguous, or withdraw their consent to certain uses or disclosures of their personal information, subject to the limits provided by law.
8. Complaints
Any person who believes they have suffered harm related to the processing of their personal information by AO Locatif may file a complaint with the person in charge of the protection of personal information. The complaint will be handled diligently, and a written response will be provided within a reasonable time, generally within a maximum of 30 days.
